Charcia Nichols, Ed. D

Dr. Charcia Nichols is a veteran educator with more than 24 years of experience as a teacher and administrative leader. Under her leadership, Nichols will work to reinvigorate teaching and learning at the school. Dr. Nichols has worked as an administrator at several metro Atlanta districts including Atlanta Public Schools, Social Circle City Schools, and in Paulding County Schools. She has a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Education from the University of Georgia; a Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership from Jacksonville State University; a
Specialist’s Degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Argosy University; and a Doctorate in Education Curriculum and Instruction from Argosy University. After a career in traditional public education, Dr. Nichols said that she was attracted to the administrative position at Ivy Preparatory Academy because of the single-gender model focused on equipping girls for
academic success in high school, college, and in life. She also was inspired by the flexibility that charter schools have to get creative to meet scholar needs.

Ms. Laticia Sharp

Ms. Laticia Sharp is the Chief Financial Officer and managing principal of Sharp Management Group LLC. She has over 25 years of management experience performing accounting and financial services for for-profit and not-for-profit organizations. She takes great pride and joy in helping to meet the educational financial needs of the scholars at Ivy Preparatory Academy, Inc.

When it comes to eternal optimism look no further than Charles Edgerton. He believes that if you think you can or if you think you can't "Your Right"! Born of humble beginnings Charles has built a career on exceeding expectations. Charles brings 20 years of executive-level experience in roles from Director of  Information Technology, COO, and CEO of his own business. He now brings those skills to Ivy Prep Academy to help move their vision forward. His motto is "To be, rather than to seem"

Ms. Mesha Greene

Pelita Merideth is a native of Atlanta, Georgia. She has over 17 plus years of instructional experience. With six of those years of service at Ivy Preparatory Academy as a teacher and administrator, she currently serves as the Elementary Academy Leader(K-5).  As academy leader, she considers her primary responsibilities are supporting the vision and mission of Ivy Prep, ensuring there are effective teachers in every classroom, fostering a culture of collaboration, developing teacher leaders, and educating “the whole girl”. Prior to working at Ivy Prep, she was as an elementary teacher in the Atlanta Public School System. She attended Tennessee State University and obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education. Later during her teaching career, she earned a Masters degree in Educational Leadership from Clark Atlanta University, and an Ed.S degree in Teacher Leadership from Piedmont College.  Out of all of her accomplishments, she truly has a passion for developing teacher leaders and enriching the lives of Ivy scholars. She is proud to be a wife and mother of one son.  In her free time, she enjoys shopping and reading.

Ms. Mesha Greene has over 19 years of educational experience in elementary and middle school education. She has severed as a Professional Development Leader for a large urban District and Elementary and K-8 school principal in Atlanta, GA and Houston, TX. Ms. Greene believes that what you put in will ultimately determine what will manifest.

Ms. Dingle has a 34-year career as an educator serving as a teacher of Special Needs students, an Assistant Principal and Principal, a District K-12 Curriculum Director and an Independent Education Consultant.  Ms. Dingle is currently working as a Federal Programs Director and as a specialist in school development and transformation.  Ms. Dingle has a strong abiding faith that compels her to spend her time " transforming lives and giving hope".

Paula Harris-Harvey has been in the Educational setting for over 17 years and the past 11 years assisting scholars with disabilities.  As a Lead Special Education Teacher, I have offered and delivered several Professional Learning Communities in the area of Special Education to promote scholar and teacher growth. I have offered training in the area of writing a successful IEP, not only monitoring scholar data collection but also monitoring teacher data collection. I am the wife of a wonderful husband and mother of 4 exceptional children.  I love the excerpt from Dr. Seuss, Oh! Ms. Kynea Griffith has worked in the private and charter school arena for almost seven years.  She is passionate about meaningful interactions with scholars and their families.  She is excited to be the “Ambassador of First Impressions and Exceptional Organizing” for our network. She will complete her bachelor’s degree at Kennesaw State University this December.

Ms. Jackson -Jones is a mother of three wonderful children and grandmother of two grandchildren. She is also a proud Alumni of Maynard Jackson High School. It is hard to explain Ms. Jones due to her being a wearer of many hats. If you have a problem, Ms. Jones will fix it or find a way around it.

Tameika S. Nelson is a native of Atlanta, Georgia and has served as an educator for 11 years. Tameika S. Nelson received her Bachelor of Arts in Early Childhood Education from Clark Atlanta University, a Master’s Degree in Social Work from Clark Atlanta University with a concentration in Family andChildren. She also has served as an Early Head Start Specialist with Head Start. She enjoys reading, journaling, traveling, and dancing. Tameika S. Nelson is committed to providing a wholistic approach to students at Ivy Preparatory Academy as MTSS Coordinator while ensuring that all students are committed to excellence.

Mrs. Toi McLaughlin

Toi McLaughlin has served as an educator and professional leader in the greater Atlanta area for twenty years. Professionally, Toi McLaughlin received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Early Childhood Education from Georgia Southern University, a Master of Science Degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Central Michigan University, a Specialist Degree in Curriculum, Instruction, Management & Administration from Nova Southeastern University, and a Leadership Certification from the University of West Georgia. She also holds an endorsement in Gifted Education. Toi McLaughlin is committed to bringing her wealth of educational knowledge and student empowerment to Ivy Preparatory Academy as Dean of Culture while ensuring that all students are committed to a high academic performance built upon sisterhood, scholarship, and service.

Shevawn Bolton C.C. is an Alumni of Art Institute of Atlanta, where she received an Associate’s Degree in Culinary Arts and graduated Magna Cum Laude from Colorado Technical University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management. In addition to her educational degrees, Shevawn enjoyed being a local restaurant owner and still uses her culinary skills and ten plus years experience as a business consultant to develop recipes and technical skills for food enthusiast and management consulting for business professionals. She now serves as the Nutrition Director for Ivy Preparatory Academy and excited to be apart of the Ivy Family.

Ms. Nandi Taylor received her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Georgia State University in 2014. After school, she took a year off to explore her career options as well as take time to get reconnected with her interests. She is currently a student at Mercer University working towards a Masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. She has always had a passion for helping people and her community.

Kelli White is the School Counselor for Grades K-8 as well as the System Testing Coordinator! She is originally from Evansville, Indiana but moved to Atlanta 8 years ago. She earned her Bachelor’s Degree from Western Kentucky University in 2010 where she majored in Elementary Education and her Master’s Degree in School Counseling from Clark Atlanta University in 2016. Throughout her nine years in education, she has experienced everything from School Teacher, School Counselor and System Testing Coordinator, and Committee Chair. Outside of education, she loves spending time with her friends and family, watching movies, and shopping! She is excited to be here and make a difference at Ivy Preparatory Academy!

Ms. Carter has been with the Ivy Prep family since Nov. 2014. She started out as an after school teacher and was promoted to the After School Program Director by the following winter. She currently holds a dual role at Ivy as the After School Program Director and Resource Development Coordinator. To say the least, she is proud to be IVY STRONG, the growth and progress of this all-girls charter school is indescribable! 

Not only has she grown professional during my time at Ivy, but she has also grown in her personal endeavors. She was recently blessed with a beautiful daughter and married her high school sweetheart.
