Who is eligible to attend Ivy Preparatory Academy?

Students zoned for Atlantic Public Schools  or Dekalb County Schools are eligible to attend Ivy Preparatory Academy.

How do I apply?

The lottery application link will be available here beginning February 4, 2019 via Lotterease. All lottery applications must be completed online. People needing access to a computer to complete the application may use a computer in the Enrollment Department at Ivy Preparatory Academy, located at 1807 Memorial Drive. Computers will be available on school days during the enrollment period between 8:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. Computer assistance is available, if needed.

When are applications accepted?

The lottery application window for the 2019-2020 school year is from February 4, 2019 through March 4, 2019.  Click Here to see a detailed lottery application schedule.

Is anyone given preference in the enrollment process and lottery?

Ivy Preparatory Academy gives enrollment priority to the following category of applicants and in the following order: 

  • A sibling of a student currently enrolled at Ivy Preparatory Academy. 

  • A student whose parent or guardian is a member of the governing board of Ivy Preparatory Academy or is a full-time teacher, professional, or other employee of Ivy Preparatory Academy. 

What if I made an error on my application and/or entered the wrong preference information for my child?

During the application window, please contact the Admission's Office at 404-622-2727  or enroll@ivyprepacademy.org if you believe you made an error on your child’s application. After the lottery occurs, if the wrong preference information was entered, the child will be placed at the bottom of the wait list for her respective lottery.

How will I learn the results of the lottery and know if my student has been granted a seat?

The 2019-2020 lottery will be conducted electronically via Lotterease and held onsite at Ivy Preparatory Academy on Saturday, March 9, 2019 at 11:30 AM. Ivy Preparatory Academy offers of enrollment to families selected by lottery are made in writing by email within 3 business days post lottery.  The lottery results will be posted to the Ivy Preparatory Academy website by Wednesday, March 14, 2019. It is the parent’s responsibility to ensure that Ivy Preparatory Academy has the most updated contact information (phone, mailing address and email address) for notification purposes.

 

Parents are required to accept or decline the offer of enrollment in writing by email within 14 days of receiving notice of enrollment offer. In the event that an offer of enrollment is not accepted or declined, the expired application will be moved to bottom of wait list. All applicable deadlines will be communicated to parents throughout the entire enrollment/lottery process.

What happens once I am notified that my child(ren) has been granted an available seat?

All students who have been granted an available seat must complete and return registration forms with valid supporting documents by the registration deadline or their seat will be forfeited

Will my student have to participate in the lottery each year?

No. Once officially enrolled, all Ivy Preparatory Academy students will remain enrolled for future years.
