COVID-19 UPDATES
COVID -19 SPRING UPDATE
Dear Ivy Families,
Ivy will reopen under a full-virtual model on January 4th for all scholars. We will administer the iReady diagnostic from January 11th until January 23rd. Scholars will be synchronous on the Wednesdays of those weeks (January 13th and January 20th). We will transition back to asynchronous learning on Wednesdays starting on January 27th.
While Atlanta Public Schools has announced the transition to a hybrid model with some face-to-face learning on January 25th and Dekalb County Schools are starting in-person learning on January 19th, IPA will not transition at that time and will remain virtual until February 26th. From March 1st until April 2nd, scholars will be in a hybrid model. Parents will receive their scholar's scheduled days by February 1st. However, if you elect to keep your scholar in an all-virtual model, you will select the preferred model for your scholar via a survey that will be distributed on January 19th. Once you select your preference, this remains until April 23rd. All scholars will be expected to be in the building face-to-face starting April 26th.
Below is a transition plan for our scholars and staff. In making our decision to transition, please know that we are continually observing public health data/trends, learning from other schools and districts, and remaining ever mindful of the social and emotional well-being of our students, families, and staff members. We are also actively gathering invaluable input from staff and families.
We are grateful for your ongoing understanding in this decision-making process. Please anticipate another update towards the end of January.
