IVY PREPARATORY ACADEMY COVID-19 UPDATE
Board Sets Last Day for Scholars; Network Shares Plans for Grades and More
On April 14, 2020, the Governance Board approved school calendar changes. The last day for scholars is May 15. Scholars will have until May 18 to turn in all missing assignments. The Board also approved plans for scholar grading, academic support, and retention. Highlights of the plans include:
Grading: K-8 scholars will have chances to correct, re-submit, and complete work. The passing grade for all K-5 subjects is 70%.
Academic Support: K-5 EIP scholars will get online help from EIP teachers.
Retention: K-5 scholars who were “at risk for retention” will be “placed” in the next grade level. Academic performance (August-February) will be used to decide promotion and placement of 6-8 scholars.
The Governance Board will monitor the coronavirus situation to ensure the health and wellness of all. For more information, click here.
Ivy Preparatory Academy will move to e-learning beginning Tuesday, March 17, 2020. Enabling scholars to complete their academic learning outside the classroom. E-Learning will be offered to scholars until further notice.
Scholars can access e-learning by checking their Ivy email inbox.

The New Orleans field trip scheduled for May 12, 2020 has been canceled. Parents who have already paid will receive an email from Ms. Smith and Ms Greene detailing the refund process.
The Science Festival field trip scheduled for March 12, 2020 has been canceled. Parents who have already paid can contact Ms. Patricia Jackson-Jones for inquiries on the refund process.
The Parent Bootcamp and Saturday Academy scheduled for March 21, 2020 has been canceled
The Monthly Governing Board Meeting scheduled for March 24, 2020, at 6:00 pm, will take place virtually via zoom. Click here for zoom details

The Seussical Production has been rescheduled, to a later date during the Fall Semester
The Women's History Program scheduled for March 31, 2020 has been cancelled.
